As a Community Manager at Turing College, your main role is fostering engagement among our learners, Senior Team Leads and Partners communities. Your primary responsibility will be to manage and coordinate various community events and initiatives, both online and on-site, to ensure a positive and enriching experience for our members. By using communication skills and creativity, you will contribute to building a strong sense of belonging and support within our community.
Responsibilities 🚀
- On-site and Online Events: Handle registrations, internal communication, provide tech support for speakers, prepare venues, track participants, evaluate events, and generate reports as needed.
- Company Merch Distribution: Assist in distributing company merchandise to community members. Ensure efficient post registrations, packing, and tracking processes are followed.
- Remote Community Management: Engage with messages, gather information for talent pool and marketing content.
- Assistance in Running Community Campaigns: Support community campaigns on Discord to boost motivation and engagement.
- Collecting Relevant News for the Community: Gather and present news and information through newsletters, podcasts, or a news calendar for the community's benefit.
- Tech Support for Summer Event: Provide tech support during the planning and execution of the biggest annual community gathering.
- Support for Career Events: Offer tech support and facilitate online networking opportunities with peers and partners during career events.
- Community Data Collection and Updates: Collect and update relevant community data to ensure accurate and up-to-date information.
- Leading online and on-site events: managing and engaging with the audience, ensuring smooth event execution and facilitating dynamic interactions.
Qualifications 💼
- 2+ years of relevant experience in community management, events organisation, or related roles.
- Strong organizational and communication skills to effectively engage with community members.
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks in a dynamic environment.
- Proficiency in using tech tools for event management and communication.
- Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities to drive community engagement.
- Experience in managing online communities or events is a plus.
- Passion for fostering a positive and inclusive community culture.
